Description:

1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 6581 Caliber 1030 Steel Wristwatch with PX Store Box Papers and Chronometer Certificate. It is becoming much harder to find vintage Rolex timepieces that have kept all of their original paperwork and even more so when they from a US military base exchange. This particular example came from the Kadena Base exchange in Okinawa, Japan. The timepiece is in overall great condition. Some expected wear from age and usage. 34mm steel Oyster case has remained thick and full bodied and has retained its original Screw-in crown. The engine turned steel bezel is very nice. The original "Explorer" style Swiss signed tritium white dial with matching warm lume plots and hands is great, has developed a rich patina as shown in keeping with age and usage. Stainless steel stretch rivet Oyster bracelet is great, will accompany a 7.5" wrist size, clasp is date coded to 1961. Caliber 1030 Oyster Perpetual automatic movement is running and keeping time. Timepiece includes original Rolex Box (missing insert), Service Papers, Chronometer Certificate, and PX Store Guarantee Papers.
