Description:

a highly attractive 1963 Rolex Oysterdate Precision 6466 Tropical Gilt Dial Stainless Steel Wristwatch. Truly once of the most incredible original tropical dials we've come across with its sunburst tone. Sword hands and dial react to UV and fade at same pace. Stainless steel Oyster case and smooth bezel are excellent. Timepiece appears to have remained unpolished. Some expected light wear in keeping with age and usage. Steel Oyster riveted bracelet with 62 end pieces is in great condition, shows minimal stretch, fits approx 7.25-7.5" wrist size, and is date coded to 1963. Rolex Oyster Precision manual wind movement is running and keeping time, has been freshly serviced and an OEM Rolex 104 crystal has been installed. Original date wheel is present. This is one of a small handful of gilt Oysterdates that we've seen turn into an tropical tone.
